BETUYAB Visits Minister Ersoy

In Belek, Antalya—one of Türkiye’s most important tourism destinations—the Belek Tourism Investors Association (BETUYAB), established by a special law, swiftly began its activities following its ordinary general assembly. The newly elected Chairman of the Association, Ali Özdoğan—Member of the Board of Özdoğan Group, which includes Calista Luxury Resort—and the Board of Directors initiated their first actions by holding important meetings to strengthen cooperation with public institutions. In this context, a meeting was held with the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

Among the new administration’s top priorities are projects that will enhance Belek’s strength in tourism and elevate its destination brand on the international stage. With the support of Minister Ersoy, it is aimed to strengthen the region’s international promotion, increase investor interest, and accelerate infrastructure projects. In his remarks regarding the meeting, Chairman Ali Özdoğan stated: “Tourism is no longer just a sector, but one of the main pillars of Türkiye’s development strategy. With this vision, our regions are addressed with a holistic approach; comprehensive support is provided from infrastructure to promotion. As BETUYAB, we are determined to contribute to this vision. We will transform Belek not only into a holiday destination but into a model synthesis of sustainable development, environmentally harmonious investments, and cultural values.”

The new BETUYAB Board recently held its first meeting, made several decisions, and officially commenced its duties. In addition to Chairman Ali Özdoğan and Vice Chairman İbrahim Pektaş, the Board consists of Ayhan Akan Bektaş, Mehmet Aygün, Özgür Nazik, Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, Ramazan Kara, Ömer İçkale, Harika Güral, Yasin Akkanat, Mehmet Akif Tamince, Yunus Özdemir, and Kübra Akbalık Namlıcı. The Board is preparing to implement a comprehensive development and promotion plan for the region.

It is noteworthy that second- and third-generation tourism professionals are also included in the new administration. While younger members such as Yasin Akkanat, Ömer İçkale, Harika Güral, Yunus Özdemir, Kübra Akbalık Namlıcı, Akif Tamince, Özgür Nazik, and Ramazan Kara take part in the Board, experienced tourism professionals like Mehmet Aygün, Ayhan Bektaş, İbrahim Pektaş, and Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu are working alongside them.

These swift and decisive steps taken after the election aim to strengthen Belek’s position as a model tourism destination on both national and international platforms.
