TSYD Toros Summit Took Place in Belek

The 52nd Annual Summit of Sports Seminar, traditionally organized by the Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD), was held at Gloria Golf Resort Hotel in our region. The summit, attended by over 300 prominent figures and journalists of Turkish sports, began with the opening speech by TSYD President Naci Arkan.

On the first day of the seminar, panels were held on "Rio 2016," "Sports Economy in Turkey," and "Barrier-Free Sports." The "Rio 2016" session, moderated by Fatih Kuşçu, featured speakers such as Uğur Erdener, President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK), Attila Gökçe, sports writer for Milliyet newspaper, and Mert Aydın, sports commentator for NTV Spor.

In the "Sports Economy in Turkey" panel, chaired by Deniz Gökçe, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, President of Spor Toto Organization, spoke about the organization’s activities and efforts to combat illegal betting.

The summit also featured a presentation of EXPO 2016. Levent Murat Danışman, Deputy Secretary General of Expo, informed participants about EXPO 2016. He mentioned that by March, 4.5 million flowers will be brought to the Expo area. He explained: "Interesting areas are being created within the Expo. The Expo Tower continues to rise. Expo Hill, Expo Lake, the first-ever biodiversity museum in Turkey, a technology center, and a convention center with a total capacity of 6,200 people are under construction. We will showcase the architecture of seven geographical regions of Turkey and its cuisine. The most important aspect of Expo 2016 will be the island featuring national and international organizations along with country gardens." A short audiovisual presentation about EXPO 2016 activities was also shown during the summit.
